New Hybrid Era
Rumoured to be GTR, can it change our Motoring World???
R36 Nissan GTR Concept 2018 |
This is the new Nissan GTR which will be out or you could say “Godzilla” will be reborn in 2018. this new generation is more polar bear friendly, its rumoured to be a hybrid. Could this be a more friendly GTR than the previous get? Probably not, especially looking at the early images which shows a far more aggressive stance. How much power will “Godzilla” have i hear you scream? Well Nissan are being bit hush, hush about the whole thing but rumour’s are swirling around that early suggestions say 700hp. This throws the car into a different league completely and it could also have a KERS or ERS unit which will provide a electric power boost which could tumble the GTR into 800-850hp but these are just rumours, they should be taken with a pinch of salt. The price tag for all this magnificence? Estimated $100,000.
Whats next for this hybrid era?
If the rumours are true this could be a massive step for the motoring world as we know it, even though this is now classed a super car its really sports car money so this car could make Hybrid technology more mainstream & also give it a cool image, which is where most car companies fail up until now with the La Ferrari & McLaren P1 making huge headway with the hybrid technology which has trickled down from the likes of Formula One & Formula E which has transformed this technology. soon enough we could have this kind of technology in everyday Hot Hatches. The likes of the Ford Focus RS & Honda Civic Type R could be in the near future, Hybrid! shock horror for all petrol heads across the world, not so fast. hybrid technology is more likely to be used to make the cars much faster than before & more efficient, which is no bad thing for the everyday petrol head. The GTR in short terms is the benchmark for the future of motoring & i can guarantee we wont be disappointed.
