MY FAVOURITE FAST & FURIOUS MOVIE!!! HAS THE FRANCHISE GONE TOO FAR NOW?!!

My Favourite Fast & Furious Movie

My Personal favourite to some peoples surprise is 2 Fast 2 Furious, even though its dead cheesy & some poor graphics in some of the main car scenes.

The highlight of this movie is very early on, the Nissan GTR Skyline R34. Everybody remembers this car its so iconic for Paul Walkers character Brian. Every movie thereafter he drives a GTR. If i'm being totally honest i fell in love with this R34 Skyline because of this movie. Even though its a bit in your face with the bodykit, neon lights & huge wing etc but to me it was so cool.

Why Is 2 Fast 2 Furious My Favourite?

I dont actually know why its my favourite, probably because Brian is the main character in this one sorry Vin. Also, i think its more about the cars too which as a car guy myself is great! Obviously the skyline too as I had previously mentioned.

Another Favourite and would of been my number one is Tokyo Drift because as a movie its probably the best of the franchise, the story is brilliant and the way its filmed is amazing! The driving scenes are some of the best, especially the main scene where Han dies.

My Pick Best - Worst

  • 2Fast 2Furious
  • Tokyo Drift
  • Fast & Furious 7
  • Fast Five
  • The Fast & The Furious
  • Fast & Furious
  • Fast & Furious 6
  • Fate Of The Furious

Has The Franchise Gone too Far now?

Yes & No, maybe they should of stopped it at Fast & Furious 7, it would of been a fitting ending to the franchise but i guess there is a lot of unfinished business thats why they didn't. Personally, Fate Of the furious wasn't that good. I will have to watch it again though because its difficult to take it all in. I thought there was some awesome scenes in the movie but i thought the story was poor & they keep killing off people, getting a bit old now. I hope for much better next time....

NEW DODGE CHALLENGER DEMON!

Dodge Challenger  Demon - 828 Bhp Monster

Dodge finally revealed the completely mad Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This drag strip -orientated, road-legal 828Bhp monster is the most powerful production V8.

We all thought the Hellcat was absolute madness, well Dodge didn't think it was mad enough and created this animal. The Demon has a 2.7 litre supercharger running at maximum boost pressure of 14.5psi to produce the mighty 828bhp, also delivering a huge 770lb ft.

The Demon only really has once purpose & that is drag racing. The supercharger is preloaded to increase power at low revs. The Demon will be nearly 100kg lighter than the Hellcat, to reach this feet they have removed all seats bar the drivers. All the other weight saving comes from removing sound ending, changing brakes & anti roll bars.

The accumulation of changes means the Demon will do the quarter mile in 9.65 seconds at 140mph & will hit 60mph in 2.3 seconds. The Demon also boasts the Guinness World Record for the longest wheelie in a production car 2.92 feet.

3000 of these Demons will be produced, we expect them to sell out pretty quickly even though the price is unknown at this present time.

MY TOP TIPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE BUYING THERE FIRST CAR

The day young teens dream of, passing there driving test. Don't rush into buying a car because its very important to take your time & research different options. Everyone thinks s small 1 litre box car like a 1.0 Lupo will be the cheapest to insure, but this isn't the case because i found in my area that its cheaper to insure something like Citroen C4 1.6 cachet 2007 or something like that providing it wasn't a Ford Focus ST (which we would love to have).

There are many different variables in insurance so it wont be the same for you guys, but i recommend trying out different cars to insure, I think you'll be surprised by what cars you can insure for a reasonable price.

MY TOP TIPS
  • Work out the cost per month for the car, including insurance & fuel etc.
  • Extra Money aside for maintenance, Tyres, Brakes & Exhausts.
  • Shop around for the best insurance quote, try as many as possible to you have the best selection of quotes
  • Try get your own insurance, not on your parents because it will help a few years down the line
  • Understand basic maintenance of a car so you can do it yourself & save the cash
  • Check the background of the car before purchase, make sure there is a full history with the car & A HPI Check

The Cars I reckon are worth checking out:

  • Mini Cooper 1.6 - Normally reasonable for insurance considering the car has a lot to offer & is perfect for any young driver.
  • Ford Fiesta Zetec S - Any age of this car new or old they are cheap to insure, they a good little sporty car .
  • Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Limited Edition - Normal choice for young driver, a bit bland in my opinion but its still an option because insurance is so cheap.

ALFA ROMEO FINALLY HAS ITS MOJO BACK!

Alfa Romeo finally has its mojo back & its produced this beauty!

ALFA Romeo guilia quadrifoglio verde - BMw & Audi must be shaking in there boots because this is one of the most beautiful cars to recently hit the showrooms

The price maybe a bit expensive at £58,000 starting price. I can imagine that it wouldn't lose value that quickly with this Alfa being a four door Ferrari. In supermarket terms this is Waitrose being disguised as a Aldi. I think we would all eat Waitrose food if it was same price as Aldi wouldn't we?

Lexus GS300 made cool by Youtube Star Jamie_FYD

The Lexus GS300 been made super cool by Jamie_FYD?

The Lexus GS300 has probably gone unnoticed by most but not by Jamie_FYD. Some nice alloys, lowering springs & tinted windows can turn this rather executive car into a real looker. prices between £3000-£6000 for a solid used one, 3 Litre V6 engine & many toys as standard.

I do not know about anyone else but i really want one of these cars now, but there isn't that many available to purchase and most have high mileage. Get your orders in while you can for this great car. Most Lexus's are abit dull but his brings back the cool factor, especially when guys like Jamie_FYD make it looks so fantastic with some easy changers to its appearance.

Check Out Jamie_FYD channel on YouTube, Top guy

Nissan Skyline GTR R34 - Legend Of Japan

Nissan GTR Skyline R34 1999 (Legend)

What we loved about skyline R34, the thing that set it apart from other Japanese
rocket-sleds (apart from its butch, angular appearance - if a car could grow stubble...) was that it owned one of the most technically sophisticated and absurdly talented four-wheel-drive chassis ever to cling to a twisty road. it goes down as the biggest Japanese legend ever, Probably the best car they have made.

I think every petrolhead has dreams all week about having one of these gems sitting on their drive at home.

New Hybrid Era

New Hybrid Era

Rumoured to be GTR, can it change our Motoring World???

R36 Nissan GTR Concept 2018

This is the new Nissan GTR which will be out or you could say “Godzilla” will be reborn in 2018. this new generation is more polar bear friendly, its rumoured to be a hybrid. Could this be a more  friendly GTR than the previous get? Probably not, especially looking at the early images which shows a far more aggressive stance. How much power will “Godzilla” have i hear you scream? Well Nissan are being bit hush, hush about the whole thing but rumour’s are swirling around that early suggestions say 700hp. This throws the car into a different league completely and it could also have a KERS or ERS unit which will provide a electric power boost which could tumble the GTR into 800-850hp but these are just rumours, they should be taken with a pinch of salt. The price tag for all this magnificence? Estimated $100,000.

Whats next for this hybrid era?

If the rumours are true this could be a massive step for the motoring world as we know it, even though this is now classed a super car its really sports car money so this car could make Hybrid technology more mainstream & also give it a cool image, which is where most car companies fail up until now with the La Ferrari & McLaren P1 making huge headway with the hybrid technology which has trickled down from the likes of Formula One & Formula E which has transformed this technology. soon enough we could have this kind of technology in everyday Hot Hatches. The likes of the Ford Focus RS & Honda Civic Type R could be in the near future, Hybrid! shock horror for all petrol heads across the world, not so fast. hybrid technology is more likely to be used to make the cars much faster than before & more efficient, which is no bad thing for the everyday petrol head. The GTR in short terms is the benchmark for the future of motoring & i can guarantee we wont be disappointed.
